Throughout the 1960’s and 70’s each member of Familiars enjoyed a fruitful career as an actor in sci-fi and horror b-movies. It was on a set for one of these movies that the band first met. Yes, this means the members of Familiars are all in their 80’s and 90’s. If you’d like to know the secret to their longevity and youth, it’s said each member takes a shot of rye with a bite of jerky each morning. During a recent solar storm, it was reported that televisions throughout Ontario took on a life of their own. Switching back and forth between channels that were playing films the band had appeared in. While the science is still unclear as to what exactly happened, you can now view what those bewildered Ontarians witnessed on that cold October night. Since this incident, sales of their debut full length “All In Good Time” have sky rocketed.
