All In Good Time

Part I

The Debut Long-Playing Album by Familiars

Familiars are proud to announce the upcoming release of their first album recorded throughout 2018 with Simon Larochette at The Sugar Shack in London Ontario. This album pushes Familiars further into the heavy Canadiana sound they’ve cultivated over their past releases. Spanning the course of 8 songs, themes of struggle and perseverance emerge through stories of hunger, history, and Canada’s wilderness.

Part II

The album that almost didn’t happen

The creation of this album was an uphill battle. Through conflicting schedules, living in different cities, and a few minor injuries, Jared would always say that the album would come “all in good time”. It became a running joke and the working title for the record. We had a good start to 2018, great shows, we finished writing, and in May went into the studio. In this session we laid down the foundation of the tracks, and we’d soon be back to finish. On June 2nd while sitting around a campfire Kevin had a sudden cardiac arrest. For such an unlucky event, he was lucky to be with his wife who immediately dialed 911 and performed CPR. Her actions, along with the first responders and doctors, saved his life. 2018 ended in a much more positive light. Anton, who immigrated from Ukraine, received news that his permanent resident status for Canada had been approved. For those that don’t know, a lot of time, effort and money goes into this process, and we’re happy as hell for him. After much needed rest Kevin made a full recovery and we went back into the studio to finish recording. We are now getting ready to unleash our debut album: All In Good Time.
